Training with Tora Berger and Her Teammates Video

Last season, Norway’s Tora Berger won it all from the World Cup Total Score through the discipline titles. She is currently in Obertilliach, Austria with her Norwegian teammates preparing to defend those titles as well as her Olympic 15K individual title in the coming season.

Rainy Training Day for US Team Video

“I woke up and almost wanted to just roll over and go back to sleep,” was Lowell Bailey’s reaction to the driving rain that awakened him on Wednesday morning at his hotel in Inzell, near Ruhpolding. Yet, Bailey and his US Biathlon teammates rolled out of bed as on a sunny day. Heavy rain or not, there was some training to be done. After mostly sunny and pleasant weather this was the first bad day for the US Biathlon Team, midway through their three-week training camp in Ruhpolding and Oberhof.

Swiss Men’s Team Training in Ruhpolding

Many people were surprised by the news, and especially its timing, at the end of last season. Steffen Hauswald resigned as head coach of the Swiss team to spend more time with his family. It was an unusual step just one year before the Olympic Games, but one that, at least, the Swiss men’s team seems to have gotten over quite well. The team is now training in Ruhpolding, with Hauswald’s former assistant, Jörn Wollschläger, now the head coach and his assistant Christian Stebler, who was in charge of the junior and IBU Cup teams last year.

Parachute Jump for Swiss Biathletes

It was a big jump of Benjamin Weger, Selina, Elisa and Aita Gasparin. This time, the big jump was full of happiness and adrenaline. The four Swiss biathletes were invited by the Para-Sport-Club Triengen to do a tandem parachute jump near Lucerne.

Coffee Time with Darya Domracheva Video: Part 2

Belarusian Darya Domracheva finished second in the World Cup Total Score last season, which for most biathletes would mean a very successful year. However, beyond that success, the 26-year old had some tough days in the stadium, especially at the IBU World Championships, where she struggled with luck and illness until taking the Mass Start Gold medal on the final day of the Championships.
